Understanding Annie's health
Here, we'll explore Annie's health needs and how she participates in her routines with support, showing growing awareness of her own fatigue and safety. Join us to understand how we help Annie thrive.

Long term goal
Annie will participate in her health routines (ex: rest breaks, brace use, clinic visits, medication or supplement routines as appropriate) with adult support, demonstrating emerging self-awareness of fatigue and safety.

Short term goals
-
Annie will signal fatigue or discomfort during play, walking, or school activities by using a consistent communication method (ex: “tired,” “sit,” gesture) in at least 4 out of 5 observed opportunities.
With adult modeling, Annie will transition to scheduled rest breaks (ex: going to a designated chair/spot) when requested, remaining there for a brief, agreed-upon time. - Annie will tolerate donning and wearing her back brace or other required equipment for the prescribed duration with use of visual schedules, praise, and sensory supports as needed.

Assistive technology
Annie wears a back brace to help with preventing scoliosis in her spine. Positioning aids: Cushions, wedges, or adapted chairs that work with her back brace to support alignment and reduce fatigue during seated learning or hobbies
